InnovaMine is a Chilean consulting group that delivers innovative services to the mining industry in the field of mineral resource planning.

The main asset of the group is the expertise of its founding partners, which not only spans across the Chilean mining industry, but also other mining countries such as Australia, Canada, Kazakhstan, Peru and the United States. Through our wealth of experience in mine planning and mine feasibility, our team prides themselves on providing our clients with solutions that deliver effective and measurable value.

Meet the founders

 

Juan

Juan Camus

Co-Founder and Managing Partner

Juan has an extensive career in the mining industry. He is the author of the book Management of mineral resources: Creating value in the mining business published in 2002 in the US by the SME. Prior to his current work in Chile as managing partner of InnovaMine, he worked for Kazax Minerals Inc. in Kazakhstan. Before, he worked for the Rio Tinto Group and The University of Queensland, in Australia. In Chile, he worked for Codelco, the Chilean national copper company and world’s largest producer and also at Exxon Minerals. He was a founding partner of Metálica Consultores, a consulting firm based in Santiago.

Juan is a mining engineer from The University of Santiago, Chile. He also obtained a master degree in applied economics from the Catholic University of Chile and a PhD in mining engineering from Queen’s University in Canada. He is a member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration Inc. in the US (SME).

Mauricio

Mauricio Brücher

Co-Founder and Managing Partner

Mauricio has 16 years of work experience in the mining industry and is currently the managing partner and founder of InnovaMine. Previously, he worked as a senior mining engineer and then study manager at PanAust South America, and also as a mine planning engineer at Metálica Consultores, in Chile. He also held various positions within the BHP Billiton Group, including the Cerro Colorado and Spence mines, both in Chile, and on secondment at the headquarters office, in Melbourne, Australia.

Mauricio also worked as a lecturer for the undergraduate open pit course at The University of Santiago, Chile. Mauricio is a mining engineer graduated from The University of Santiago, Chile, with a diploma in business strategies from Adolfo Ibáñez University in Chile. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AUSIMM).
